After having focused on the technologies available to remove arsenic from raw water during the previous GVW SC, this third edition has been articulated around the social engineering issue. There was indeed a consensus among the members to agree on the fact that every technical solution should be backed up by sound social approach to ensure the sustainability and impact of projects dealing with access to water for all.
The committee saw once again the participation of representatives from various environmental, social and developmental organizations.
