On June 2018, the 8th Social Business Day took place in Bangalore. It was the first time this event was held outside Bangladesh and hosted people from all over the world. Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Professor Muhammad Yunus welcomed people from 42 countries.
It was a great occasion to meet inspiring and passionate entrepreneurs, companies, NGOs who are convinced by the necessity to conciliate business and social impact to overcome drilling challenge.
Those two days were attended on behalf of Veolia by Eric Lesueur, CEO, 2EI; Benoit Ringot, Project Director 2EI; Justine Lerche, Director CSR & Communication, Veolia India and the Grameen Veolia team.
Eric Lesueur participated in a plenary session on how social business can be made powerful through the application of science and technology. And Justine Lerche had the opportunity to take part in a debate on building a Circular Economy, sharing Veolia expertise on Water and Waste and Plastic.
